Marathon Rally Sports is not a piece of cake. Testing, preparation and racing does not forgive any mistake. I have done a couple of hundreds of thousands of race kilometers as well as many thousands of testing kilometers. The cockpit team's life depends on all aspects of quality in our work. And so far, knock on wood, the cockpits I had and have joined during the past 30 years experienced no noticable accidents. Even loss of equipment is negligibile. And still, since 1994 I am one of the top rated co-pilots.

Risk

When I start working with an individual I always try to assess 'The Joy in Taking Risks'. One of the secrets of being top ranked for many years in my sport is knowing the odds. Be more successful in overcoming limitations by taking more risks is mostly the wrong decision and could be a life threatening approach.

80/20 Rule

Sometimes it only needs minor adaptions or adoptions to achieve a substantial improvement. Mostly the 80/20 rule applies - with 20% of resources, a 80% potential can be achieved. But it takes the remaining 80% of the resources to close the 20% gap to a 100% potential.

Money

Our sport relies heavily on sponsorhip. One of my goals is to find, unfold and unlock the highest improvement potentials for my clients while obeying the limited resource called 'money'.

Timing

To invest in my knowledge, experience and know-how will save lots of time and because of that lots of money. Effectiveness and Efficiency is the name of the game - "Doing the right thing at the right time right".

Riding the Dunes

The most prestigious Marathon Rally events have plenty of desert legs to battle with. Sand, Wind, Engine Power, Car Settings, Surface and Tires is an absolutely Must-To-Understand. While this may work easily in non-stress situations, it changes to the extrem when the race does not run smoothly.

  • By Weeks - as long as I got paid.
  • By Project - as long as I got paid.
